The Reunion and Dinner for the former members of the Hidden Valley “Raider" Band
and Tall Flag Team held at Felicita County Park, August 18, 2007,
was a tremendous success. The purpose of the get-together was to
catch up with one another, renew old friendships and associations
and reminisce about the "ole' glory days,” just for fun.
Hundreds of people attended and a good time was had by all!
I had so much fun! I want to thank the folks who were able to attend
for coming and to let everyone know how much I enjoyed visiting with
you all. It was a real pleasure getting caught up and hearing about
what you've been doing over the years. There are so many wonderful
old and new memories.
If you were unable to attend, I want you to know we missed seeing
you.
There was some talk at the Reunion about doing another one sometime.

I still live in Escondido most of the time and on my boat in San
Diego or off cruising the rest of the time. I enjoy running into
former students or band parents now and then. I've lost touch with
former Tall Flag Instructors Carol, Karen, Heather and Gigi. Sheila
has two kids and lives in upstate New York, Kristin has two kids
and lives in Temecula, and Meca is married and teaches 4th grade
in Escondido.
I retired from teaching a few years back and am now a Realtor with RE/MAX ("click" for
website) and own a Yacht Charter Business in San Diego called Shelter
Island Sailing ("click" for website). If you
ever want to get involved with sailing or if you have any questions
regarding real estate or want to buy or sell a house, please let
me know. Oh, by the way, I'm never too busy for any of your
referrals.
